Learning Type Reflection:
I have my highest preference in the 4th quadrant, this means I learn by trial and error. It also means I have a strong preference for creative thinking and original ideas. I think this is quite accurate as I’m very passionate about being as original as possible in everything I do. I also tend to learn a lot more from taking action. Furthermore, I've found that I learn best by just doing whatever task is at hand without thinking too much about the outcome at first. I then repeat the process until it gets to where I want it. This applies to work, school and even art. I learn best by spending a lot of time reflecting on what parts of my process are working and which parts need improvement. By doing this I’m sure I will continue to grow as a learner and never remain stagnant. I’d really like to take more risks in my learning. I sometimes find even though I reflect I’m not willing to make drastic changes to see the outcome. Instead, I make more controlled small changes. I believe if I took more risks it could help me grow a lot faster. I just have to believe in myself more and stop doubting my ideas. I sometimes find myself being held back by the idea of “what if?”. I should begin thinking more about “what if it works?” instead of “what if I fail?”. Once I get over this mindset, I’m sure ill reach my goals.
