Values Reflection

The Values test was very surprising because I thought my results would indicate more of a relational or family perspective. My results showed more of a grounding perspective. Honestly though I don’t think this test is very accurate because of how it is setup to have a maximum amount of values you can choose as important. I found myself not even really considering them by the end of the test because most of them were very important to me, so I just ended up having to move some to less important to be able to finish the test. In class we had a group activity and I noticed a lot of students agreed that this test was not ideal. Its unfortunate because I think it would be quite insightful if it was a more accurate test. According to the test my core value perspective is Grounding. This perspective is the most foundational. Individuals with this perspective are mostly concerned with basic needs for life. It says these people feel like things in life are determined by forces outside of our control and we just react to these situations. This does not reflect my value perspective at all. I personally believe everything we achieve in life comes down to our own hard work and important personal decisions.
